Brent Celek: This Team Will Fight

Head coach Chip Kelly captured the essence of Philadelphia last year when he proclaimed, "We're from Philadelphia and we fight," following the Eagles' 54-11 drubbing of the Chicago Bears in a Week 16 game that had no direct impact on the team's playoff aspirations.

Tight end Brent Celek is entering his eighth NFL season in 2014. One of the longest tenured members of the team, Celek has been a part of four playoff runs during his Eagles tenure. He understands the finite differences between success and failure in the NFL. Following last year's NFC East championship and the moves made by the Eagles this offseason, Celek looks at this current Eagles team as one that can thrive because of its ability to overcome obstacles.

"When things get tough, those good teams that I've been on, the guys come together. In any season, you're going to have ups and downs, but it's when you're having those low points whether you either come together or spread apart," Celek said. "I think this team is definitely a team that if we have some adversity guys are going to come together and we're going to persevere."

In the sitdown interview with Dave Spadaro, which is featured at the top of the page, Celek discusses what the second year of Chip Kelly's tenure has been like to this point as well as one of the many hidden advantages of Kelly's training sessions.
