â–º Sydney and his twin brother, Chase, overcame extreme poverty when they were younger by pursuing their football dreams together ... Estimated to have lived in 20 homes and shelters with their mother, Raechel, and younger sister, Mya, before turning 16 years old

â–º Realizing football would be the outlet that would lift them out of their circumstances, Sydney and Chase moved from Canada to the United States without their mother and sister after connecting with recruiters who identified Saint Stephen's Episcopal School (Bradenton, FL) as a destination for them to play football ... In a leap of faith for her sons, Raechel drove them 20 hours to Florida to live with their host family, Phil and Karen Yates, who were empty nesters ... The Yates family helped tutor the twins off the field while Sydney and Chase led Saint Stephen's to back-to-back state championship appearances

â–º Sydney and Chase, who were teammates at Illinois for five seasons (2018-22), became the sixth set of twins to be taken in the same draft over the past 40 years ... Also became the first twins selected during the first five rounds since Ronde Barber and Tiki Barber in 1997 ... Chase was chosen in the 5th round (163rd overall) by Cincinnati
