S Allen Signed; LB Hall Released To Make Room

After agreeing to terms with the Eagles last night, rookie safety Nate Allen has officially signed his four-year contract and will practice this morning with the rest of the team at 8:30 AM.

To make room for Allen on the 80-man roster, the Eagles released LB/DE Alex Hall, who was acquired as part of the Sheldon Brown/Chris Gocong trade to Cleveland Browns along with a fourth- and fifth-round pick.

According to head coach Andy Reid, Allen is the frontrunner to start at free safety opposite Quintin Mikell. For all the latest updates from the practice field, including how Allen looks on his first day in camp, follow us on www.twitter.com/EaglesInsider.

And for all the highlights and reaction from the practice, be sure to tun in to Training Camp Live! hosted by Dave Spadaro here at noon.
