The rookie free agent out of UCLA tore his ACL on Friday, lunging at wide receiver Paul Turner to try and strip the ball during a 7-on-7 non-contact drill.

If Goforth is not claimed off waivers, he will revert to the Eagles' Injured Reserve list.

Goforth was a stalwart in the UCLA secondary, where he appeared in 53 games (44 starts) and finished his career with 252 tackles (162 solo) and 10 interceptions. As a senior in 2016, Goforth logged career highs in interceptions (4) and passes defensed (13), earning honorable mention All-Pac-12 recognition. In 2015, Goforth started 13 games and earned second-team All-Pac-12 accolades.
