For the second consecutive game, an Eagle has won a weekly award.

Jalen Carter was the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his blocked extra point against the Bills. His honor comes seven days after Cooper DeJean was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week against the Commanders.

With the Eagles lead cut to seven with 5 minutes, 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Carter shot through the line and rose up to swat the point after. The play proved to change the game as the Bills attempted a two-point conversion for the win with five second remaining, but the try fell incomplete and the Eagles walked away with a 13-12 victory in Buffalo.

Carter is the fifth Eagle this season to win an NFC weekly award: Jordan Davis (Week 3 vs. Rams, Special Teams), Quinyon Mitchell (Week 4 at Buccaneers, Defense), Davis (Week 11 vs. Lions, Defense), and DeJean (Week 16 at Commanders, Defense). — Written by Matt Ryan
