Thursday's Injury Update

The Eagles offered an estimation of an injury report on Thanksgiving.

Cornerback Rasul Douglas (knee, ankle), linebacker Jordan Hicks (calf), cornerback Sidney Jones (hamstring), safety Avonte Maddox (knee, ankle), cornerback Jalen Mills (foot), and running back Darren Sproles (hamstring) would have missed practice for the second straight day.

The only change from Wednesday would have been that long snapper Rick Lovato (concussion) was a full participant. He was limited yesterday. Center Jason Kelce (elbow) would also have been a full participant in practice,

Wednesday's Injury Report

The Eagles were decimated by injuries in Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints, particularly in the secondary.

Safety Avonte Maddox, and cornerbacks Rasul Douglas and Sidney Jones left the game early along with center Jason Kelce, long snapper Rick Lovato, and linebacker Jordan Hicks. It compounded the fact that cornerback Jalen Mills and running back Darren Sproles missed Sunday's game.

When the Eagles returned to the practice field at the NovaCare Complex on Wednesday, those guys weren't much healthier.

Douglas (knee, ankle), Hicks (calf), Jones (hamstring), Maddox (knee, ankle), Mills (foot), and Sproles (hamstring) were all non-participants. In his press conference this morning, head coach Doug Pederson said that Douglas and Maddox are still day to day.

"We're going to get them out there, kind of move them around, but probably unlikely (today)," Pederson said. "We'll see."

While there was a possibility the Eagles would have Maddox, Douglas, and Jones, Pederson said Mills, who missed the last two games with a foot injury suffered in London, would "probably not" practice. He is also day to day but taking a bit longer.

Kelce was a full participant and Pederson said "he's doing really well" with an elbow injury he suffered early in Sunday's loss. Kelce was taken out in the first quarter and did not return. Lovato, who suffered a head injury against the Saints now diagnosed as a concussion, was limited on Wednesday.

The Eagles practiced Wednesday without the four defensive backs on the starting roster from Week 1. You can read the full injury report from Wednesday here.
