After tearing his ACL earlier this week, Travis Long's 2015 season is officially over now after he was placed on Injured Reserve by the team Wednesday.

To replace Long on the 90-man roster, the Eagles signed undrafted rookie outside linebacker Diaheem Watkins. As a senior at UAB in 2014, the 6-4, 258-pound Watkins was tied for the Conference USA lead with 10.0 sacks. He finished his college career with 18.5 sacks, 26.0 tackles for loss and 147 total tackles. He was an All-Conference USA first-team selection as a senior. He started all 42 career games since arriving on campus as a true freshman.
