The Eagles continue to rework the practice squad in an effort to field the best 70-player team possible.

On Friday, the Eagles signed outside linebacker Antwaun Powell-Ryland and cornerback Eli Ricks to the practice squad. To make room, the team released defensive end K.J. Henry and defensive tackle Jacob Sykes.

It's a reverse of the transactions that took place on Thursday.

OLB Antwaun Powell-Ryland

Powell-Ryland was selected by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech. He had 16 sacks (3rd among all FBS players in the country) and 19 tackles for loss in his final season with the Hokies. Powell-Ryland continued that trend into the preseason, recording a sack and a forced fumble in the finale at the Jets. He was released during the final roster cutdown and returned to the practice squad on Wednesday.

CB Eli Ricks

Ricks made the Eagles' 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and spent the last two seasons with the team. He was waived on roster cutdown day and most recently re-signed with the practice squad on September 24.

DE K.J. Henry

A former fifth-round pick of the Commanders in 2023, Henry has played in 14 career regular-season games with Washington, Cincinnati, and Dallas between his rookie season and the 2024 campaign. He finished 2024 on the Eagles' practice squad and spent time with the Eagles in Training Camp this year before joining the Browns. Henry had a pick-six against the Eagles in the preseason while with Cleveland. He was recently released from the Browns' practice squad before returning to the Eagles on Thursday. A product of Clemson, Henry had 13 sacks in 48 career games.

DT Jacob Sykes

Sykes went undrafted in 2023 out of UCLA and signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Sykes spent time with the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League after he was waived by the Seahawks. The Eagles signed Sykes on July 22, and he stayed with the team before being waived on roster cutdown day and returning briefly to the practice squad last month and again on Thursday.
