Eagles release Kyron Johnson from the practice squad

The former sixth-round pick returned to the team in late September.

Roster Move

The Eagles announced on Tuesday that they have released linebacker Kyron Johnson from the practice squad.

A sixth-round pick out of Kansas in 2022, Johnson played in 16 games as a rookie, contributing seven tackles on special teams in 265 snaps.

Johnson did not make the 53-man roster out of Training Camp this season. He returned to the practice squad for a third time since Training Camp on September 20.

Current Linebackers Coach D.J. Eliot coached Johnson at Kansas, where he was a three-time captain and second-team All-Big 12 selection in 2021.
