Roster Moves 2025 Site

The Eagles announced the following roster moves on Tuesday, which now leaves the team with an open spot on the active roster and another on the practice squad:

Placed LS Charley Hughlett, OLB Ogbo Okoronkwo on Injured Reserve

Long snapper Charley Hughlett was signed in free agency after spending 10 seasons in Cleveland. Hughlett has seamlessly integrated into the placekicking operation, as Jake Elliott is one of only nine NFL kickers to connect on all of his PAT (12/12) and field goal (4/4) opportunities this season. Braden Mann, the holder for Elliott's kicks, is the league's top punter in terms of gross average (52.9 yards per punt).

Outside linebacker Ogbo Okoronkwo was released by the Cleveland Browns this offseason before signing with the Eagles in July. He made the initial 53-man roster out of Training Camp and was inactive for the first three weeks ahead of his debut against the Buccaneers.

With Nolan Smith and now Okoronkwo on Injured Reserve, the Eagles will have to lean on their edge depth. Jalyx Hunt and Za'Darius Smith got the start in Week 4, with Joshua Uche playing 30 defensive snaps and Patrick Johnson getting some action. Azeez Ojulari, who the Eagles signed this offseason, could be thrust into a bigger role.

Signed LS Cal Adomitis to the active roster

With Hughlett going on Injured Reserve, the Eagles signed veteran Cal Adomitis to the active roster.

The 27-year-old Adomitis spent three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, snapping in 49 games from 2022-24. The Pitt alumnus was an All-American by the American Football Coaches Association in the 2021 season. Pitt calls Adomitis the most decorated long snapper in school history.

Released LB Lance Dixon from the practice squad

A rookie free agent signing of the Eagles out of Toledo following the 2025 NFL Draft, Lance Dixon spent the entire preseason with the team and was waived during the final roster cutdown. He returned to the practice squad last week.
