The Eagles announced the following roster moves on Christmas Eve:

Elevated safety Tristin McCollumn from the practice squad for the Giants game

The Eagles have elevated safety Tristin McCollum for the Christmas game against the New York Giants.

McCollum made his NFL debut in Week 4, playing 20 special teams snaps in an overtime victory against the Washington Commanders. He has spent the rest of the season on the practice squad.

The safety spent last season with the Houston Texans practice squad after being signed as an undrafted free agent.

With cornerbacks Avonte Maddox and Darius Slay, McCollum would add depth to the secondary and could be featured on special teams.

Elevated linebacker Brandon Smith from the practice squad for the Giants game

The second-year linebacker out of Penn State is in position to make his Eagles debut against the Giants.

A fourth-round pick of the Panthers in 2022, Smith played 12 games with one start for Carolina last season. He made five tackles in 53 defensive snaps.

Smith joined the Eagles' practice squad in October. With injuries to Zach Cunningham and Nicholas Morrow, Smith could help provide depth. Cunningham was ruled out for Monday's game with a knee injury, while Morrow is questionable with an abdomen injury. Morrow did not practice all week.
