These Eagles will be without two key players in the trenches as defensive tackle Jalen Carter (shoulders) and right tackle Lane Johnson (foot) are both inactive.

Here is the Eagles' full list of inactives for Monday Night Football against the Chargers:

DT Jalen Carter | 98

RB A.J. Dillon | 29

QB Sam Howell (3rd QB) | 14

T Lane Johnson | 65

CB Mac McWilliams | 22

OLB Joshua Uche | 0

Safety Marcus Epps, who the Eagles activated from Injured Reserve earlier in the day, returns to action after missing the last four games. Sydney Brown got the start next to Reed Blankenship last week, but Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio said Epps will be a candidate to start against the Chargers. The Eagles also elevated safety Andre' Sam from the practice squad for the second straight week.

Fourth-round rookie Ty Robinson, who has been a healthy scratch the past four games, is active with Carter sidelined. Robinson played a career-high 19 snaps in Week 6 against the Giants when Carter was inactive.

With Lane Johnson not playing, Fred Johnson will get the start at right tackle. Fred Johnson has started the past three games at right tackle for Philadelphia.

Joshua Uche is inactive for the second consecutive week after playing in each of the first 11 games this season.

Justin Herbert and Omarion Hampton are both active for the Chargers

The Chargers will have their Pro Bowl quarterback for Monday night's game as Justin Herbert is active. Herbert underwent surgery on his left hand (non-throwing) after suffering an injury in Los Angeles' Week 13 win over the Raiders. Backup Trey Lance relived Herbert before he returned to the game last week.

Los Angeles gets back rookie running Omarion Hampton, who was activated on Monday from Injured Reserve. Hampton suffered a fractured ankle in Week 5 against the Commanders and has not played since.

The first-round pick out of North Carolina posted a 128-rushing-yard, 1-touchdown showing against the Giants a week before suffering the injury. He joins a Chargers ground game that ran for nearly 200 yards last week. — Written by Matt Ryan
