Nakobe Dean is officially back.
The Eagles activated Dean off the Physically Unable to Perform list ahead of Thursday's game against the Giants. The Eagles also elevated defensive tackle Gabe Hall from the practice squad for Thursday Night Football.
Dean was placed on PUP to start Training Camp after his season-ending knee injury against the Packers last postseason. The Eagles opened Dean's practice window following their Week 4 win over the Buccaneers.
Dean posted 128 tackles and three sacks in 15 starts last season, serving as a key leader for the Eagles' defense. His end zone interception against the Jaguars iced the victory and provided an iconic moment in the Kelly Green uniforms.
Zack Baun and rookie Jihaad Campbell have been the starting linebackers for Philadelphia. Both have been phenomenal to start the season, and the addition of Dean only adds depth to a unit that also includes Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and rookie Smael Mondon.
Hall started the season on the 53-man roster and made his NFL debut against the Cowboys in Week 1. A rookie free agent signing of the Eagles following the 2024 NFL Draft, Hall joins a defensive tackle room of Jalen Carter, who is questionable for tonight's game with a heel injury, Jordan Davis, Moro Ojomo, Byron Young, and Ty Robinson. — Written by Matt Ryan
