The Eagles opened wide receiver Darius Cooper's practice window on Thursday and saw enough in two practices to activate him on Saturday.

Cooper is now part of the Eagles' 53-man active roster and is eligible to play Sunday against the New York Giants. He said that he'll be ready for any role that's asked of him.

"It was a blessing to be back out there, practicing with my brothers, man," Cooper said this week. "That was just the main thing I was looking forward to, being out there with the team. It was a blessing to be out there."

The Eagles had an open spot on the active roster. The Eagles signed defensive end Brandon Graham on Tuesday, but Commissioner Roger Goodell granted a two-game roster exemption that will expire on Monday, November 3.

Cooper signed with the Eagles as a rookie free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft out of Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas. He spent his entire collegiate career with the Texans, finishing as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (3,185) and 100-yard games (14). He was also second in touchdown grabs with 29.

The 5-foot-11, 210-pound Cooper earned a spot on the 53-man active roster out of Training Camp. He played in each of the first three games, garnering 20 offensive snaps, before landing on Injured Reserve.

The Eagles will be without A.J. Brown on Sunday due to a hamstring injury. The team will have (in numerical order) Jahan Dotson, DeVonta Smith, John Metchie, Cooper, and Xavier Gipson available to play against the Giants.
