Eagles acquire 2020 draft pick from New England for DE Michael Bennett

The two teams will swap fifth- and seventh-round selections next year, while the Patriots also get the veteran pass rusher.

The Eagles announced a trade with the New England Patriots on Thursday. Philadelphia receives a fifth-round pick in 2020 from the Patriots and in exchange New England gets defensive end Michael Bennett and a seventh-round pick in 2020.

In his one season with the Eagles, Bennett was first on the team with 15 tackles for loss and second with nine sacks. He also accounted for 56 quarterback pressures and hits, while playing 69 percent of the team's defensive snaps.

The Eagles re-signed defensive end Brandon Graham to a three-year deal prior to the veteran hitting the free agent market. The team also added Pro Bowl defensive tackle Malik Jackson, also to a three-year contract, on Wednesday.
