Veteran Andy Dalton will serve as the backup quarterback to Jalen Hurts as both Tanner McKee and Cole Payton are inactive for the season opener, with McKee listed as the third quarterback.
Ruled out yesterday with injury, Jonathan Greenard starts his Eagles career on the inactive list. Rookie guard Micah Morris and wide receiver Elijah Moore join Greenard - all of whom joined the Eagles this offseason.
While not on the inactives list, rookie tight end Eli Stowers was placed on Injured Reserve on Saturday, pushing back his debut for the Eagles at least four games.
Wide receiver Britain Covey was the only player elevated from the Eagles practice squad to face the Commanders. Washington elevated C/G Julian Good-Jones from the practice squad.
