James Gilman, who is entering his eighth year with the Philadelphia Eagles, was promoted to director of football analytics in 2022.

Since joining the analytics team within the football operations department, Gilman has focused on quantitative research and providing statistical insight. Before he was named to his current role, he served as an assistant director of football analytics (2021-22), senior quantitative analyst (2020-21), and quantitative analyst (2019-20). He was originally hired by the Eagles as a quantitative research intern in December 2018.

Gilman grew up in Raleigh, NC, and attended North Carolina State, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in statistics.
