Alan Wolking enters his 16th season with the Philadelphia Eagles after being promoted
to vice president of football operations and strategic initiatives during the 2026 offseason. He
previously served as vice president of player personnel from 2024-25. In his current role,
Wolking oversees a range of strategic projects, including helping drive the organization's efforts
to integrate artificial intelligence into player personnel and decision-making.
Wolking has contributed to three Super Bowl appearances with the Eagles (LII, LVII and
LIX), including victories in Super Bowl LII and Super Bowl LIX.
Prior to his role as vice president of player personnel, Wolking served as the Eagles'
director of player personnel from 2022-23 after spending two seasons as director of college
scouting (2020-21).
Originally joining Philadelphia's scouting department in 2011 as the club's Midwest Area
scout, Wolking spent two seasons covering the region before transitioning to Southeast Area
scout in 2013. He was later promoted to assistant director of college scouting in 2018. Over the
next eight seasons, Wolking helped lead the Eagles' scouting and player personnel
departments, rising from assistant director of college scouting to vice president of player
personnel.
Before joining the Eagles, Wolking served as a graduate assistant at Northwestern
University, working with the defensive backs from 2008-10.
A native of Hudson, OH, Wolking also worked in various roles within Ohio State's athletic
department while attending graduate school in 2007. In addition, he coached high school
football at Walter Payton College Prep in Chicago, IL, and Upper Arlington High School in
Columbus, OH, from 2003-07. Wolking earned his undergraduate degree in business from Ohio
State University and attended graduate school at both Ohio State and Northwestern University.
Wolking and his wife, Heather, have a daughter, Kate, and a son, Will.
