Sean Mannion is in his first year with the Philadelphia Eagles after being hired as the offensive coordinator during the 2026 offseason.
A former NFL quarterback, Mannion arrived in Philadelphia following a two-year coaching stint as a quarterbacks coach (2025) and offensive assistant (2024) with the Green Bay Packers under Matt LaFleur. From 2024-25, Mannion supported an offense that ranked third in the league in yards per attempt (7.7), fourth in points per drive (2.43) and sack rate (5.3 pct.), fifth in passer rating (101.2), sixth in third-down success (44.3 pct.), eighth in total yards per game (351.7) and ninth in passing touchdowns (54).
In 2025, Mannion helped guide the Packers' quarterback room to the fifth-highest passer rating (102.5) in the NFL. Under his tutelage, Jordan Love threw 23 touchdowns against just six interceptions and registered career highs in passer rating (101.2) and completion percentage (66.3 pct.). Malik Willis, who relieved an injured Love during Weeks 16-17, finished the year with a 145.5 passer rating in four contests (one start).
Mannion began his coaching career as an offensive assistant working primarily with Green Bay's quarterbacks in 2024. During his first season, he aided Love, who was named a Pro Bowl alternate, to the fifth-most yards per attempt (8.0), sixth-most 25-plus-yard completions (33, tied) and seventh-most passing touchdowns per game (1.67) in the NFL. Willis also saw action in seven games (two starts), completing 40-of-54 (74.1 pct.) attempts for 550 yards, three touchdowns and a 124.8 passer rating.
Prior to joining the Packers, Mannion enjoyed a nine-year career as a quarterback in the NFL. Originally selected by the Rams in the third round (89th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft, he played with St. Louis/Los Angeles (2015-18), Minnesota (2019-20, '21, '23) and Seattle (2021, '22, '23). During those stops, Mannion learned from coaches such as Dave Canales (Seahawks), Matt LaFleur (Rams), Klint Kubiak (Vikings), Sean McVay (Rams), Kevin O'Connell (Vikings), Kevin Stefanski (Vikings) and Zac Taylor (Rams).
A four-year starter at Oregon State (2011-14), Mannion set a school record with 13,600 passing yards (eighth in NCAA history at the time) in 47 games (43 starts). He also still owns program records for touchdown passes (83), completions (1,187) and completion percentage (64.6 pct.).
Mannion was born April 25, 1992, in San Jose, CA. He is married to his wife, Megan.
