Cole Peterson joined the Philadelphia Eagles as the team's assistant to the head coach during the 2025 offseason.
In his first season with the club, Peterson supported a coaching staff that helped the Eagles finish 11-6 en route to the NFC East Championship, marking the first repeat winner in the division in over two decades.
Prior to his arrival in Philadelphia, Peterson served as the executive director of football operations (2023-24) under head coach Trent Dilfer at UAB, where he helped lead the day-to-day operations of the program.
In his first year with UAB in 2023, Peterson was a finalist for the FootballScoop Football Operations Director of the Year Award.
Peterson spent the 2022 campaign as the assistant director of football operations and assistant to head coach Tom Allen at Indiana. He aided a Hoosiers staff that doubled the team's win total from the previous year.
Peterson started his career as a 22-year-old director of football operations/player personnel director at Youngstown State in 2021, becoming the youngest individual to hold that title in college football.
Furthermore, Peterson spent three years as a student worker with the Penguins' football program. He also volunteered at Akron and Pittsburgh.
Peterson graduated from Youngstown State with a degree in communications. He is the son of John Peterson, who spent 33 years as a coach, including stops at Ohio State, Arizona, Pittsburgh and more.
