Chris Kuper enters his first season as the offensive line coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. He originally joined the team during the 2026 offseason after spending four years (2022-25) with the Minnesota Vikings.
In 2025, Kuper oversaw a Vikings offensive line that was led by Brian O'Neill, who earned the third-highest Pro Football Focus grade (84.9) among NFL right tackles after allowing the fifth-fewest pressures (23, tied) at his position (min. 400 pass block snaps). He also mentored O'Neill to his second career Pro Bowl during the 2024 season, when the veteran finished with a career-high 82.1 PFF pass block grade and surrendered only two sacks.
Kuper managed an offensive line that protected the fifth-best passing attack (256.4 ypg) in the league in 2023. His unit also blocked for the sixth-ranked passing offense (263.8 ypg) in the NFL and helped Dalvin Cook total the second-most rushing yards (1,173) of his career in 2022.
Before his tenure with Minnesota, Kuper served as the assistant offensive line coach for the Denver Broncos from 2019-21.
In 2021, Kuper supported a group that ranked fourth in time to throw (2.91 seconds) while finishing as the only team with multiple 900-plus-yard rushers — Melvin Gordon (918) and Javonte Williams (903).
In the 2020 campaign, Kuper coached tackle Garrett Bolles to second-team Associated Press All-Pro honors and center Lloyd Cushenberry (one of two NFL rookies to play 100 percent of his team's offensive snaps in 2020) to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Furthermore, Kuper navigated guard Dalton Risner to PFWA All-Rookie recognition in 2019.
Kuper spent the 2016-18 seasons with the Miami Dolphins as an assistant offensive line coach (2017-18) and offensive quality control coach (2016). Prior to entering the NFL coaching ranks, he tutored the offensive linemen at Columbine High School in Littleton, CO, in 2015.
Kuper was selected by the Broncos in the fifth round (161st overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played eight seasons in Denver (2006-13), including three as a captain, starting 79 of 90 games at both guard positions.
In 2011, Kuper was voted to the Pro Bowl after the Broncos led the league with a team-record 2,632 rushing yards. In 2008, he finished as the only NFL guard to start all 16 regular-season games without allowing a sack, as Denver set a franchise record for fewest sacks allowed (12).
A native of Anchorage, AK, Kuper played collegiately at North Dakota (2001-05), where he was a two-time All-America honoree and a member of the program's 2001 Division-II NCAA Championship team.
Kuper and his wife, Cynthia, have four children: Madeline, James, Anna and Alexandra.
