Chris Kuper enters his first year as the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line coach after joining the team during the 2026 offseason. Kuper brings nine years of coaching experience at the NFL level to the franchise.
Prior to his arrival in Philadelphia, Kuper coached the offensive line for the Minnesota Vikings during the 2022-25 seasons.
In 2025, Kuper oversaw tackle Brian O'Neill, who earned the fourth-highest Pro Football Focus grade among NFL right tackles (84.9) in 2025 (min. 500 offensive snaps), while also being tied for the fifth-fewest pressures allowed (23) at his position (min. 400 pass rush snaps).
Kuper led O'Neill to earning his second Pro Bowl nod after only allowing two sacks in 2024, tied for the fewest among all NFL tackles. His 81.2 Pro Football Focus pass block grade was a single-season career high, topping his previous career-high grade of 77.9 in 2022.
In 2023, Kuper oversaw an offensive line that finished the season fifthbest in the league in passing yards per game (256.4), standing as one of just three teams to rank inside the top six in the league for passing yards per game in each of the past two seasons (263.8, sixth in 2022).
During the 2022 season, Kuper assisted running back Dalvin Cook to another 1,000-plus yard rushing season, along with coaching a unit that finished with the eighth most points per game (24.9) in the league.
Kuper worked alongside offensive line coach Mike Munchak during his tenure in Denver. In 2021, Kuper assisted an offensive line that helped their quarterbacks receive the fourth-most time to throw (2.91 seconds) in the NFL. The Broncos offensive line also blocked for two 900-plus yard rushers in running backs Melvin Gordon III and Javonte Williams, ending the campaign as the only NFL team to have two players eclipse that rushing mark.
In 2020, Kuper coached Associated Press Second-Team All-Pro tackle Garrett Bolles and center Llyod Cushenberry III, who was one of two rookies in the NFL to play 100% of offensive snaps during the 2020 season.
During guard Dalton Risner's rookie season with Denver, Kuper helped him earn Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie honors by playing the eighth-most snaps among rookies in 2019 (916).
Prior to the Broncos, Kuper worked under Jeremiah Washburn and Chris Foerster as the assistant offensive line coach at the Miami Dolphins. Kuper helped develop tackle Laremy Tunsil, who allowed just one sack during the 2018 season.
During Week 7 of the 2017 season, Kuper took over offensive line coaching duties for Miami, which contributed to the team allowing 33 sacks all season, which was the 11th fewest in the NFL.
Kuper began his coaching career as an offensive quality control assistant with the Dolphins in 2016 before being promoted to assistant offensive line coach in 2017.
Kuper was drafted in the 2006 NFL Draft in the fifth-round (161st overall) by the Denver Broncos. For eight seasons, he started 79 out of 90 games, playing both right and left guard. In his first seven seasons, Kuper allowed only 12 sacks.
During his 2012 campaign, Kuper was selected to the Pro Bowl, and his teammates nominated him as an Ed Block Courage Award honoree after he persevered through an ankle injury at the end of his 2011 season.
Despite his injury in 2011, Kuper was named first-team All-Pro by Dallas Morning News after he started all 16 regular-season games that led Denver to lead the league in rushing yards (2,632), resulting in a team record.
In 2008, Kuper was the only guard in the NFL that started all 16 games and didn't surrender a single sack. That season, Denver broke their club record of fewest sacks allowed (12).
