WR Jeremy Maclin, G Stacy Andrews, DE Darryl Tapp

WR Jeremy Maclin

On his injury: "I'm blessed and I'm thankful that it didn't turn out as bad as it could have. I'm happy. It is what it is. I wish I was out there competing, but now I can get better and get out there as soon as I can.""

On his reaction to hearing the MRI was negative: "I'm happy. (Head athletic trainer) Rick (Burkholder) called me and explained it to me. It was just a sigh of relief.""

G/T Stacy Andrews

On how much he has progressed in the last year:"I feel good, I'm getting reps in and last year I was just rehabbing and doing individuals with (offensive line coach) Juan (Castillo), and wasn't really getting any teamwork in. This year's different, I'm doing every drill, taking every team rep and getting it in, I'm feeling good.""

On the biggest adjustment he had to make coming back from his injury: "That was actually the first time ever in my life getting injured, and you have to get over the mental part of it. As far as getting back out and putting all of your weight back on your leg, knowing you're in the 300's and what not, and you just have to get back used to it and get the confidence back in it.""

On him learning the offense and balancing that with coming back from his injury:"It was coming back from the injury, not enough game, and learning the techniques, those three things. So that kind of slowed me down a little bit but this year I'm in the mix with everything and I'm good.""

On how comfortable he feels in this offense right now:"I feel ten times better, I got a full offseason in with Juan and working with the guys on the offense and that helped out a whole lot.""

On some of the details that Juan Castillo is working with him on: "The thing that Juan preaches over and over is that we are going to keep doing it over and over and over until it becomes natural and that helps out a lot. Since I came here, Juan has been out there working me, working me, working me and still to this day we come out here early and sometimes after practice we stay late, it's kind of hard to do it with two-a-days but that helps out a lot.""

On him developing chemistry with the other offensive lineman: "We've been working together for a while and we've developed a good chemistry out there. I know what (T) Winston (Justice) is going to do and I know what (G/C) Nick (Cole) is going to do, so that's been good and we're just going to keep going from here.""

On the offensive line protecting QB Kevin Kolb:"We are going to get out there and do our job and keep him clean and get the job done. It starts with the o-line so we're going to get out there and keep him clean and do our job.""

On the adjustment with having Kolb as the starting quarterback: "Not at all, he's a great quarterback and like I said we have all been working together for a while as a line and the chemistry is there. So we know how he works and he knows how we work, so that's a good thing.""

DE Darryl Tapp

On him having fun out there: "Oh yeah, I'm having a blast, (defensive line) Coach Rory (Segrest) and (senior asst/defensive backs) Coach (Dick) Jauron are doing a great job coaching this position to be successful and we're just out there having fun, bonding together, and getting ready for the season.""

On Rory Segrest working with him on technique and how different it is from previous coaches: "It's a big difference; I was in a situation where I didn't really have to change a whole lot coming from high school to college and even the first four years in the league. I'm in a new situation and I feel like a rookie again so coach will work with me one-on-one getting my technique and fundamentals down.""

WR Jason Avant

On how impressive WR Riley Cooper has been: "He's been doing a great job. He's been down the field, deep behind the defense a lot. I think he's doing a great job. I think he brings a different element to our team, size and strength. And he's fast. I think he's going to be a good player in this league, and possibly great.""
