Report: Pederson To Join Chiefs' Staff

As former head coach Andy Reid begins to assemble his new coaching staff in Kansas City, there will likely be some familiar faces.

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reported on Wednesday night that quarterbacks coach Doug Pederson is in Kansas City to finalize a deal to become the Chiefs' new offensive coordinator.

The former Eagles quarterback joined the coaching staff in 2009 as the offensive quality control coach and was promoted to his current post in 2011.

Chairman/CEO Jeffrey Lurie said back on December 31 that the members of the coaching staff would have their contracts honored and, at the same time, be permitted to interview for other opportunities.
