Quinyon Mitchell was a lockdown cornerback as a rookie, and it didn't go unnoticed.

Mitchell was ranked No. 49 in the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2025, the league announced on Monday. He joins left tackle Jordan Mailata (No. 69) and cornerback Cooper DeJean (No. 60) as the Eagles to be announced so far.

After being selected 22nd overall, Mitchell starred in his first season and finished second in AP Defensive Rookie of the Year voting. He started 16 regular-season games, finishing with 12 passes defended. He was third in the NFL in forced incompletions (15) and third among all cornerbacks in yards allowed per coverage snap (0.8).

Mitchell's best play came in the postseason, though, as he had four passes defended and two interceptions, both of which helped ice playoff victories.

Passing Game Coordinator/Defensive Backs Coach Christian Parker was asked point-blank on Monday if Mitchell can be one of the great ones.

Parker simply replied, "Yes."

"I've been around a lot of really good ones and I think that it starts with just how they're built," Parker explained. "And he's built the right way. He has a natural confidence in himself. He doesn't get rattled. He's always trying to work. There's very little idle time during practice. When the special teams (is on the field), we're working. When the offense is on the field during the scout team period, we're working. We're working pre-practice. We're working post-practice. He's in the building early, he stays late. He's always about ball.

"He's always trying to find guys that he wants to watch around the league to see what elements in his game he can add. He just has a huge appetite for development and improving himself and he's very accountable to himself, so he knows that the load that we need him to carry from here on and what we put on him last year, and he has the mental stability."

Mitchell made an immediate impact as a rookie, and his peers took notice.
