QB Foles & WR McNutt

QB Nick Foles

On his excitement to get another start this week: "I'm just excited to go out and play again. I feel like we've had a good week of preparation and we're just putting some finishing touches on it. I feel great. I feel ready to go. I'm excited to play."

On how many friends and family members have asked him for tickets to this game: "Not many. My family will be going but that's (all the people) I really talked to about it. Just trying to keep it simple and focus on the game."

On whether practices and game action has slowed down for him now that he has playing experience: "I feel comfortable, yeah. I think every day you feel more and more comfortable with what you do. I feel more comfortable but tomorrow I'll feel even more comfortable. It's a process so I feel good."

On whether he is anxious to throw a touchdown pass as a starting quarterback: "Whatever it takes to win no matter how we get it done. Of course I want to throw touchdown passes to put points on the board but whatever it takes to win. If we're running the ball and we're doing that successfully and we're scoring points (then it's okay). The most important thing is to win the game. However we get it done."

On whether it feels good to throw touchdowns: "Well it means we're executing as an offense and everybody is doing their job. We're working together as a unit. That's what is exciting about scoring touchdowns through the air or on the ground."

On how not having several key players on offense will affect the performance on Sunday: "We have guys step up. We have a great group of guys that have been working all week. I have all the confidence in the world in them. They're working their butts off. They're excited to play and the most important thing is for us to play as a unit, play together, and no matter what happens through the course of the game (to) stay focused, stay together as a unit and help each other out. The most successful offenses work together and stick together throughout the tough times."

On whether the uncertainty at center affects his preparation and performance: "It doesn't affect me. I feel confident. Dallas has done an amazing job but if (G/C) Evan (Mathis) is in there or whoever, I feel like they're going to do a great job. I have all the confidence in the world in them and I know they'll get the job done."

On the advantage of playing Dallas for the second time so quickly in his career: "Just playing against them once I got to see them once and they could have new wrinkles, they could do anything. I think just playing in a few games (helps in) getting more comfortable. I feel good.  We just have to go out there and execute as a unit."

On how Vick has appeared to him this week: "Mike and I are great. He seems great to me. Mike and I have stayed the same throughout everything that's gone on. He's Mike to me."

On whether Vick seems okay mentally: "Yeah, he's Mike. Him and I, same thing as always."

On whether he looks at this start as potentially the last time he starts this season if Vick is healthy next week: "I really zone all that out. I'm focused right now on playing this game. I'm ready to go out there. We've had a great week of practice. I'm ready to go out there and play. I really don't think about anything else. I'm fortunate to play this game. I'm fortunate to go out and play with my guys again and with the guys out here. I'm so excited to just play football and be able to play at this level."

On whether he has heard the recent concerns in public that he is not the team's quarterback of the future: "No, I don't. I stay out of everything. I stay out of the papers. I just stick to what I know. I stick to the people close to me and I just stay the same. I'm going to keep working hard no matter what. I've haven't played as well as I'd like to but I'm going to keep working at it. I'm going to work as hard as I can to be the best player I can. No matter what, win or lose, I'm going to treat it the same when I look at the film (and) try to get better no matter what. It's a day-to-day thing. I just have to keep working. There's going to be highs, there's going to be lows. (I) just have to get to a steady thing and get solid all around. It's a never-ending process (and I) always have to be working.

On whether things have been more difficult in the regular season because teams are scheming against him: "That could be a reason. Definitely. It's no excuse. I have to play at the highest level possible. I played pretty well. There (are) things in the preseason that I didn't think I did well on. I was working every day. People thought I played well (but) I didn't think so. I'm looking at it critically and I'm going to try to get better in every aspect. It's a day-to-day thing. (I) just have to keep working. (I) can't get too high or too low (and) I just have to stay steady."

WR Marvin McNutt

On whether he was thinking that his promotion to the 53-man roster was a possibility: "I was hoping it could. It was just one of those opportunities that (I would take) whenever management said so."

On whether he will be active on Sunday: "I don't know. I don't know all the details yet. I just know that, right now, I'm up."

On who informed him he would be promoted to the active roster: "My agent contacted me this morning and let me know. He told me, 'Congrats', and I was like, 'For what?' He was like, 'They pulled you up. They're sending over a contract.'"

On what he was thinking with two open roster spots this week: "Really, you just have to play it by ear and just keep continuing to practice, keep not really trying to think about it too much."

On whether he checked his phone a few more times this week thinking a move may occur: "No, I wasn't because I didn't want to get my hopes up for something that may not or may end up happening. I was just waiting for the time when the coaches told me."

On how he is a better player now than he was following the preseason: "I think if my coach told you, he'd probably explain to you better. I think more just finishing and knowing how to play the game the way that we play here and really just getting used to the speed of the game."

On how being cut following the preseason wore on him and why he decided to sign to the practice squad: "It was an easy decision because I wanted to obviously be a part of the team. I went through all camp and knew the offense and wanted to just be a part of something here. It definitely hurt, but you keep fighting. These are the chances that you get if you keep continuing to work and never quit on your dream."

On whether he is looking at the remainder of the season as a tryout for next year: "My thing is to do whatever I can to help the team. Whether it's being in for one play or if it's just even for moral support, but if they have me up in to play, my goal is to know what I'm doing and to do my job."
