At halftime, the Eagles and Panthers are tied 10-10. After the teams traded field goals in the first quarter, quarterback Cam Newton scored the game's first touchdown on a run early in the second quarter. Later in the second, Fletcher Cox made his return felt in a big way forcing Cam Newton into throwing a pass that was intercepted by rookie cornerback Rasul Douglas.

The play led to a 1-yard Zach Ertz touchdown from Carson Wentz to even up the score.

Here are the key highlights from the first half:

Fumble On Opening Drive

After the Eagles completed two straight first downs, Carson Wentz was stripped by defensive end Julius Peppers on first down at the Panthers' 35 yard-line. The ball was recovered at the Carolina 48 by Panthers' defensive tackle Kawann Short.

Elliott Nails 50-Yarder

Jake Elliott continued his strong season kicking the ball. Elliott boomed home a 50-yarder to put the Eagles up 3-0 with seven minutes remaining in the quarter.

Mills Hit With Pass Interference

On second-and-10 from the Carolina 39, cornerback Jalen Mills was called for pass interference on Panthers' receiver Curtis Samuel. The play drew 21 yards and placed the Panthers at the Philadelphia 40.

Gano Evens the Score

After the Eagles' defense got a stop on third-and-2, Panthers kicker Graham Gano connected on a 39-yard field goal to even the score up at 3-3 with two minutes remaining. Newton Rushes For TD

The Panthers took a 10-3 lead after Newton rushed up the middle beating a few Eagles for a 16-yard touchdown early in the second quarter.

Douglas Picks Off Newton

Rookie cornerback Rasul Douglas picked off Newton at the Carolina 19 and returned it 7 yards to the 12-yard line. It was Cox's pressure that forced Newton into throwing a deflected pass. The interception was Douglas's second on the season.

Ertz Gives Eagles First TD

Zach Ertz came through on a 1-yard touchdown score delivered by Wentz on third-and-goal. The score was Ertz's third touchdown on the year and the Eagles' first of the night. The play evened up the score at 10-10 with just over two minutes to go.

Cox And Graham Team Up For Sack

With under a minute to go, Cox and defensive end Brandon Graham sacked Newton for a loss of 7 yards. The big play took the Panthers out of field goal range before the half.
