Game Vs. Redskins: Eagles Locker Room

Eagles DT Cullen Jenkins

On performing well as a defense: "It is matter of believing in ourselves and knowing that we are still learning and still getting better every week. We just have to keep that attitude up. We are going to keep improving."

On run defense: "From that cohesiveness everyone is getting used to each other and everyone is gelling. There are a lot of new guys and a lot of young guys. Everybody keep believing. We have been doing a great job even through all of this adversity of everybody staying together and trusting in the system, trusting in the coaches.

Eagles G Danny Watkins

On the offensive line: "I think the line did a good job. There will still be some mistakes by me. We just need to clean it up and fire on all cylinders.

On short preparation: "It was kind of a last minute thing and I started building chemistry with Winston and I started getting comfortable with him. It was a good week of practice I felt. Today there were some communication issues, but we have to iron them out over the bye week and work hard."

Eagles C Jason Kelce

On tension at end of the game: "We never felt like the game was out of our control today, but towards the end we would have liked to have been in more control. The second half, the offense did get a little banged up and then we had some adversity on offense, you always want to be consistent and that is what we are striving for on offense."

On the previous games: "The last four games I think we have been having some things go the other teams' way, batted balls going into their hands and stuff like that. Today, we have gotten that luck shifting back to us."

On their shot at winning the division: "No question. I still think we can win this division. I don't think the division is out of reach by any stretch of the imagination. We have been getting better each and every week and more consistent each and every week and striving to be consistent. You can wish we could have punched that one in there on the inch line and not throwing interception and putting our defense in a bad position. It is still striving for consistency on offense."

On the player meeting earlier this week: "I think everybody is doing a better job of learning their role. I think as a rookie I am getting more comfortable playing with the guys each and every week. I am trying to actively be a better player. I think that Jason Avant and Michael Vick are really doing a good job of taking a hold of this offense. We were sitting at 1-4 and I think there was an extra pep in everybody's step."

Eagles FB Owen Schmitt

On the Eagles' all-around effort: "We put together a complete, solid game of football. We have playmakers. A solid game, that's what we kind of preach and we finally got us a decent game."

On the Eagles' play in the first half vs. the second half: "(The Redskins) defense stepped up, and so did ours. The second-half was a big defensive battle between both teams. And then it kind of just went back and forth, with a couple turnovers. It kind of went back and forth a little bit. I presume that's why the second-half seemed as slow as it did."

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson

On the play of the Eagles' offense: "Every game we've lost so far has always been because of us. We're stopping ourselves. As long as we can come out here and not give the ball away, not have turnovers. Sometimes things happen. As long as we can stop doing that part of the game, and just try to stick with what we do best; go out there and bomb and make big plays and just take advantage of what the defense gives us."

On the Eagles' strong play in the second-half: "You know that's something that we've been talking about a lot. In the second-half, coming out, and putting on the pedal and things like that. I say it's such a long season, and we're two and four. So we're not quite where we want to be yet. We've got to go after the bye week, especially with this win before the bye week, so we'll come back on a roll."
