Game Vs. Lions: Eagles Offense

WR Jeremy Maclin

On losing the game in overtime: "It's frustrating, man, obviously. It's a bad loss. A bad loss."

On whether the team has to protect Vick more: "There are a lot of things that we have to do better. It's attention to detail. Everybody has to go out there, man up and do their job. We have to go back to the drawing board, watch the film and see where things went wrong. Like I said, everybody has to man up and do their job."

On his assessment of the game after his 70-yard touchdown reception:"I don't know. We came out and had a third down. I beat my guy pretty bad and [QB] Mike [Vick] was coming to me and the ball got tipped. I feel like, [if] we get that, the game is iced after that. It's just how the game goes sometimes and like I said, it was a bad loss."

On explaining how a team that could be undefeated at this point is 3-3: "I don't know. It's just attention to details. Games aren't played on paper. I think those are the two things that stick out. We know we're very talented and we know that when we're clicking on all cylinders we're a pretty hard team to beat, but that's not the case right now."

On what the atmosphere is going to be like during the bye week: "I have no idea. I know we're here tomorrow, so we have to correct those things tomorrow morning."

On the two negative plays in overtime: "I guess [QB] Mike [Vick] had heat in his face. I was out in the pass route so I don't know."

RB LeSean McCoy

On how he would describe the feeling after today's loss: "Sick and disappointing. That's how I feel. A type of game like that, you definitely expect to win. It didn't turn out that way. We need to find ways to finish the game. This could be a game that might come back to haunt us late in the year. This wasn't an easy win, but I felt like we had the game in control. To lose like this, gives you a sick feeling. We have to get better and come off the bye week healthy and ready to go."

On how he felt when the Lions scored to tie the game and then won it in overtime: "There were so many flashbacks to plays you should have made and things you should have done. It sucks, because we played so hard and we came up short."

On how it feels to have the offense not be able to deliver at the end of the game:"It sucks because we put so much pressure on the defense. Today doesn't say a lot about our offense."

On whether he thought the team let up after going up 10 points in the 4th quarter: "No, not at all. We were looking to close the game out. It wasn't like there was an attitude like we had the game won. We didn't take the foot off the pedal, that was never the case."

On what happened on the offensive series in overtime: "There were breakdowns."

On why this team has trouble scoring touchdowns: "I am not sure. I think if we knew the answer, we would be undefeated. We need to find an answer. We need to find solutions."

On whether running the ball was difficult today: "Yeah, I would say so. Hats off to them, they did a good job of containing the run."

On how his ankle is feeling:"Fine."

On whether it will be hard to wait two weeks to play their next game: "I think we want to fix the problems and get better. So, however long that takes, we are willing to do it. We have a fine football team here; we just have to find ways to finish the game."

Is this football team a good team after what happened today: "I am not going to say that this game defines our season or team. Today, the Lions finished the game stronger than we did. I don't think we are a bad team. I think we are a good team. One loss is not going to define our season. It's a long season, so we will be here, practice and get better."

TE Brent Celek

On his feelings about the loss and how they relate to McCoy's feeling of 'disgusted and sick to his stomach': "The same. I feel a huge responsibility for this loss with how I played and the position I put our team in. It's just uncalled for—especially, for my age and position on this team—I can't do that. I can't do that to this team, to this city, this organization—that's on me."

On if they thought they had the game wrapped up: "Not really, there was still a lot of time left. I think there was four minutes or something left to go when they [Detroit] had the ball. We just have to be able to put them away, but I think that things happened earlier—like I was saying about with me—put us in a horrible position and when you put yourself in that position, sometimes it's hard to recover."

On if he feels like this team still needs to develop its toughness for closing out games:"No, I just think throughout the game we have to finish plays, finish drives and then finish games. It's got to be a theme around here. If we do that, things will get a little bit better."

T Todd Herremans

On what he felt changed in the final minutes of the game: "Everything gets bunched up a little tighter down there. I'm not going to sit here and question the play call. Obviously they saw something they thought that worked and we just didn't follow through with the second half of things."

On having to sit on this loss for the next two weeks: "Any loss, you just want to get to the next game immediately. This is going to be sour for a while. Plus, I don't even know how much time we get off. We have some stuff to get right."
