Game Vs. Jets: Head Coach Andy Reid

On injuries sustained in the game: "[CB] Asante [Samuel] has a slight hamstring strain. He will get an MRI in the morning. [WR] DeSean [Jackson] had an elbow contusion, but he ended up coming back and playing. I took [QB] Michael [Vick] out of the game along with some of the other starters towards the end, but it didn't have anything to do with his ribs."

On the victory: "Thanks to the fans. They did a great job today. It was cold out there, but they were there, and they were loud, and they helped. It's a tribute to the Jets. They have a really good football team. Rex [Ryan] has done a heck of a job with that team and they'll rebound next week. [TE Brent] Celek, [RB LeSean] McCoy, [DE Jason] Babin and a few other guys had big games. I thought both the offensive and defensive lines played well also."

On needing the Jets to rebound with a win next week against the Giants to keep the Eagles playoff hopes alive: "First of all, [the Jets] are a good team. I know they'll be fired up and ready to go. Rex [Ryan] does a good job with that."
On the ability of the Eagles pass rush to generate sacks during the past two games:
"They're doing well. The coaches and players are doing a nice job. I always say that it starts up front. The defensive line has played well, the coverage has been tighter, everyone is executing well, and [defensive coordinator] Juan [Castillo] has been putting together a good game plan."

On whether the Jet cornerbacks forced the Eagles to look for inside match-ups in the passing game with TE Brent Celek: "Those are pretty good corners, but we had a couple of good opportunities outside as well. Celek has been playing well, and we were able to get some match-ups that we liked."

On the play of the offensive line: "They did a good job. I thought both lines played well today. The offensive line was stout in there. They did a nice job."

On whether he did not want the players to know what was happening during the Redskins-Giants game: "You have to focus in on your game. It's important in these types of situations that you don't let anything take away from your energy level and how you play."

On whether the Redskins victory in New York makes the Eagles playoff chances seem more tangible: "I have no idea. We have another one this week. [Director of media relations] Derek [Boyko] will fill me in on all of the scenarios at some point."

On the play of QB Michael Vick: "I thought he did some good things. It looked like he knocked the rust off last week, and he came back and had some beautiful throws today. I thought he managed everything well. He did a good job."

On whether WR DeSean Jackson sustained his injury while making a tackle following an interception: "Yes, he did."

On the play of RB LeSean McCoy: "He's playing well. He's staying aggressive. On the fumble, he was probably being too aggressive. He was trying to get that extra extra yard, and the ball got away from him. I appreciate the energy that he brings to our offense and the aggressive play that he provides."

On whether he expected RB LeSean McCoy to perform the way he has this season: "He's played well. He's done well in the run game and the pass game, blocking and catching. He's an all-around good football player, and in this offense, you need that. My hat is off to him. It's not easy to play running back in this league because you take quite a few whacks. He's kept himself strong and in shape, and stayed aggressive with that."

On whether the defense has been excited recently due to slight changes in the scheme such as the use of stand-up rushers: "You saw that early. We've done the stand-up formation all the way through the season, but when it works, it's even noticed a little bit more. Guys are executing well and Juan [Castillo] is dialing it up nice, and our defensive coaches are teaching well."

On what it is like in the locker room following a victory and knowledge that the team is still alive for a potential playoff berth [asked by a media member wearing a Temple University shirt]: "It's a good thing. Temple tough baby. You have to love it. You have to love it."

On whether he expected to get the production that he's received from DE Jason Babin this season: "I'm happy for Jason. It's a tribute to him, Wash [defensive line coach Jim Washburn], and the rest of the guys. You can't really single in out one guy on the defensive line. You have Trent [Cole], and JP [Juqua Parker] and [Darrell] Tapp, and you saw Brandon [Graham] in there today and [Phillip] Hunt stepped in as well. We have some people there that you have to keep an eye on, so it allows you to get some good solid one-on-one rushes."

On whether he has a decent sense of what to expect from his team's performance on a week-to-week basis: "Every week is different in the NFL. It depends on the team that you're playing and the matchups. I know for sure that the guys will play hard and aggressive. I think they're in the right frame of mind to do that. They're spending a lot of time with their fundamentals, and a lot of time with the game plan. It looks like some of the younger guys are getting better each week as we've gone along here. When you play well as a team, you pull together, and that's the important thing right now. I can't tell you it's one individual. It's all of these guys doing their job, trying to master their position, and pulling together as a team."

On the Eagles defense responding with takeaways after the offense committed turnovers the last two weeks: "First of all, we shouldn't have turnovers offensively or on special teams. But you keep battling through things and normally if you continue to play aggressive and attack the football, you're going to get your share of interceptions and fumble [recoveries]. Our guys have done that, and they've played good aggressive football."
On whether QB Michael Vick is okay physically:
"He's doing okay. He did a take a shot, but he was able to get up. That's not why I took him out. I took a whole bunch of players out at the end."

On whether QB Michael Vick looked more comfortable in the pocket: "Last week he got hit on the first play. That's not how we designed it. He got hit on the first play and he got hit a few times after that. I thought he just handled everything in there today. He got the ball out fast, and [offensive coordinator] Marty [Mornhinweg] dialed up a nice game for him with the throws. I also thought the offensive line did a good job."

On whether these last two weeks have helped establish a foundation for the young player regardless of whether the team makes the playoffs or not: "I haven't quite gone that far. I'm going to enjoy this win just for a little bit, and then I'm on to the next one, and that's about as complex as I get."

On the balanced play-calling and whether the team intended to establish the run offensively: "[The Jets] actually are pretty good against the run. I thought we had a nice mix going and I thought our offensive line did a nice job. [New York] is strong up front with their defensive line, especially their inside three, and they jammed it up to where they covered both guards and the center. They've been doing a little bit of that the last few weeks. Somebody asked me about the 46 front that [former Eagles head coach] Buddy [Ryan] used to run, and the last few weeks, they've increased that, and we saw a little bit of it today. We were able to get outside of it and get some good runs. We didn't come in saying we were just going to run the football. We wanted to have a good mix, because that's how this offense works best."

On the improved play of the Eagles young defensive players: "I think they're getting better. With all of those young guys, that's where we're young, right up the shoot there. They take a lot of pride in what they're doing. They're all contributing and attacking the ball, and good things are happening from that."
