Game Vs. Jets: Eagles Offense

WR Desean Jackson

On the offense scoring 45 points: "It's great. We won, that's all that matters."

On how it felt seeing the offense click the way it did today: "It was a blessing. It just shows the fight and courage this team has. Regardless of our record and everything else that has been said, we still get up in the morning, come to work, and count our blessings that we get to play a game that others in this world cannot do. We have to go out and have fun, regardless of our record or stats. That is what we do."

On being still alive for the playoffs: "Of course, in our mind we always felt that way. Regardless of anything, we know what is up. At the end of the day, we came out and played hard and won the game, so that's all that matters."

On how much he enjoys watching RB LeSean McCoy run the ball: "It's awesome. He's a great running back. I have watched him develop and see him come in as a rookie, to being a third year veteran. It's unbelievable how fast he was able to catch on. He looked up to [former Eagles RB Brian] Westbrook and it's great for him. I'm sure he's amped up about this situation."

On injuring his elbow chasing a Jets player after a fumble recovery and whether it shows people he is hustling: "I don't have to show people anything. I come to work, work hard and leave everything out on the field. At the end of the day, I am here to have fun and win football games. Considering the fumble, I saw their guy pick it up and run it back. [QB] Michael Vick was in front of him. Instead of my quarterback making the tackle, I had to stick myself in there and make that play. Regardless of whether I was hurt or anything, I came back."

RB LeSean McCoy

On what it means to him knowing he as more touchdowns in one season than any other Eagle: "I guess it just tells you that I am a pretty good back who has an outstanding offensive line. Those guys showed a lot of effort and made a lot of great blocks. It's definitely a team thing. No back is going to score a lot of touchdowns unless his line is blocking and his teammates are blocking downfield."

On the team being 6-8 and still alive in the playoff race:"Still alive. It shows you the type of fight this team has. We have to win these last two games to even have a shot. More than that, we just show that we have pride in ourselves. We come to battle. We have struggled a little bit and had some difficulties, but we are fighting now to get in."

On whether he was aware he was closing in on the touchdown record: "Coming in to the game, I knew I had one touchdown to go. But, it's tough to pay attention to those things. We have so much to prepare for during the week. They are a good team. Last week I struggled running the ball, so I had a lot to think about. Then that stuff with the records and individual stats, the other offensive players knew more about it than I did. Once I saw the video with the Eminem song, I knew I had the record."

On breaking records that Brian Westbrook was never able to break and how that feels: "Brian has taught me a lot. He didn't get that record, but he is still a great back. I have so much work to do to even touch him in terms of being a running back. He has been a great teacher and we are still good friends. I have learned a lot from him. Just this week, I have been struggling with the screen game; I went back and watched a bunch of his screen tapes to learn. He is not here, but he's not forgotten at all. We are talking about Brian Westbrook."

On why he thinks this team is even in the position to be fighting for a playoff spot: "Yeah, I do. You can't really concentrate on the past. I feel like each week we have a shot to be a great offense. We can throw, catch and run. We have some of the best athletes in the league. [TE Brent] Celek doesn't get a lot of attention, but he's great. Mike Vick is the quarterback, we have so many weapons. It does confuse me to think about how we got in this situation. I think about the turnovers that cost us, because it was never a problem to get down the field and getting an opportunity to score." C Jason Kelce

On whether the team knew before the start of the game that the Giants had lost: "Yeah, the game was on in the training room. Word was spreading that they were losing."

On McCoy breaking the touchdown record: "Any time your running back does well, the offensive line is pretty happy."

On going up against Cowboys DT Jay Ratliff next week: "I am looking forward to the challenge. As an NFL player, you always want to compete against the best. That's the reason we want to play in the first place. I always look forward to playing against the best and trying to prove myself."

On McCoy acknowledging the offensive line after his record breaking touchdown: "Usually after every touchdown he comes by the offensive line. I think this time he came by twice. He came by slapping hands over and over again. He was definitely jacked up after that one."

TE Brent Celek

On whether he thought there would be certain matchups that the offense could take advantage of: "Yeah, we knew there would be some man on man opportunities and we had to take advantage of."

On whether Jets CB Antonio Cromartie was covering him on his touchdown catch: "Yeah, he was. They switched it up a bit, but we were able to take advantage."

On whether McCoy thanked him for not getting in the end zone after his 73-yard catch: "No, but he's happy with those touchdowns."

On whether he thought he got in the end zone:"I was hoping we would challenge it so I could catch my breath. But they said I didn't get in."

On tipping the ball to himself on the touchdown catch: "Yeah, when I ran the route, I was running against Cromartie and I stuck him. I tried to come underneath, he grabbed my a bit, so it was a great throw by Mike. I couldn't quite get it, so I had to tip it to myself to catch it. I was lucky enough to even tip it."

On still being alive for the playoffs: "It feels good that we are still alive. That is all you can ask for at this point. We are not where we wanted to be at the beginning of the season, but we are doing all we can do with what we have. We just have to play together as a team and go up there, fight and beat Dallas."

LG Evan Mathis

On a team giving the offensive line a lot of different looks and whether there is a specific way to approach that: "It puts a lot on the center and [C Jason] Kelce did a good job of the identification and communicating it to everybody. Once he identifies whichever one of the numerous fronts it is, then we base our assignments off of that. There's a lot on him, there's a lot on the quarterback and they did a great job of identifying and communicating it to us."

On whether it was a perfect day: "No, it's never a perfect day. There is always a lot of things that you can go back on film and correct. There is always room for improvement. If you won a game 100-0, there's going to be things that you can still correct."

On having an outside chance of winning the rushing title while having the leading sacker in DE Jason Babin and whether that keeps the faith alive: "Stats are great and everything but the most important thing for us is getting the wins. It's great that we can have a guy like Babin getting all the sacks and a guy like [RB LeSean McCoy] getting all these rushing yards, but as long as we can translate that into wins, that will mean more to us."
