Game Vs. Falcons: QB Matt Ryan

Opening Statement: "It was a frustrating loss. Obviously we didn't play as well as we would've liked to, but with that said the biggest thing we have to do is regroup, get ready for next week, and come out and try to play better next Sunday. With that I'll open it up to questions."

On what it was like trying to get the offense going while down 14-0: "You know, I think early on we didn't do what we wanted to do offensively, whether it be run or pass on first or second down. I think the biggest thing going into next week is to try to improve that early on and trying to get into a better rhythm early on and that is something we'll work on."

On whether they were outplayed or underprepared: "No, I just think they outplayed us. I think we came in and had a great week of preparation and a really good game plan, and we just came out and we didn't execute as well as we needed to. They outplayed us and hats off to them. Offensively they played really well, defensively they played really well, and they made some plays on special teams also. We just need to improve, continue to get better in all three phases of the game and that is going to be our focus next week."

On Eagles run defense: "I thought they played well. They fit the run really well today, the defensive line and linebackers were solid in run defense. I think we game-planned well, we kind of got what we expected, we just didn't execute as well as we needed to."

On whether it is tougher to lose so close to his hometown: "I don't think it is really tougher than any week when you lose. Every loss in this league is frustrating, tough to swallow, so I don't think it's any different whether it be in your hometown or wherever."

On what it means that every NFC team has at least two losses: "Every week is tough, that's the only thing I can say about that. In this league every week is a battle and it doesn't matter your opponent's record when you show up, you know it is going to be a tough physical game. There are so many good football players in this league and so many good coaches that every week is going to come down to making a few plays here or there and we didn't make them today."

On whether or not his arm was going forward on the ruled fumble: "It's tough to say. Those calls are always difficult, so it's tough to say. I think as a player you always think you are in the right, but those are bang-bang plays out there, really quick and tough too see, and you have to live with the calls that are made."

On what the mood was like in the locker room after finishing the half capitalizing on an Eagles turnover with a TD: "I thought we had confidence at halftime. Obviously down 21-7 isn't where you want to be, but we got the score right before the half. The defense gave us a big turnover and a short field, we were able to execute and punch it in. We had a little bit of momentum coming out of halftime. The defense goes three-and-out and offensively we moved the ball down the field and had to settle for three points. We had opportunities. We certainly had opportunities today and just didn't make the plays."
