Game Vs. Cowboys: Eagles Locker Room

Brent Celek (TE)

On the game: "It's kind of embarrassing. We didn't expect to come down here and play like this. The good thing about it is we have another opportunity."

On whether the offense had trouble establishing a rhythm: "I thought there in the first half we started getting things going. We just made mistakes to kill ourselves. It's tough turning the ball over and winning the game. That's something we need to focus on this week. We just need to play better overall."

On what stymied the offense: "They messed a few things up. They got a good rush on us. We just didn't execute the way we should and we can. … Probably a lack of concentration. We'll have to go back and watch the film. From what I saw, from me, a lack of concentration."

On next week: "We have another opportunity. And that's all you can ask for. They gave it to us. You have to give them credit. They played a good football game. … I'm excited. I can't wait to play these guys again. After what they did to us? I want to come back here. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else."

On the game: "We expected to play better. We didn't. We have to go back to the drawing board, watch film and get better. Because we are not going to be able to beat them next week playing like this."

Jeremiah Trotter (LB)

On facing Dallas three times this season:"We have a lot more film to watch. I remember a few years back when we played the New York Giants three times in a year. We are going to get back in the meeting room, figure out what beat us and make sure it doesn't happen next week. … You can't worry about it. You just have to go back and correct the problem. That's all you can do at this point. Worrying is not going to make any plays. Just get in the film room, figure out what beat you and make sure those plays don't beat you next week."

On how to stop Dallas' effective offense: "They came out running the ball. I kind of expected them to run the ball on us. We just need to play our football. We have to expect that when you have playoff football, teams are going to want to come out and establish the run. They are not going to let us just blitz and tee off on Romo. They did exactly what I expected, and we just have to do a better job next week of not letting it happen."

On coming back next week: "Give those guys props. They made some big plays. But we are going to do this again. It's going to be the same dance, same song, baby."

Winston Justice (T)

On the game: "When you don't execute against a team like Dallas, you don't score, you don't get lucky and make a play. We just didn't execute. We have to get better next week so we can accomplish our goal, and that is to win."

On the shutout: "I'm caught off guard by the shutout. Our guys did a good job making plays. We just have to use this as an opportunity to get better. And that's it. … There is nothing but bounce-back in this team. I think us having another chance at them is a good feeling. We have another chance at them here, and all we can do is get better for next week. … It will be good to come back next week, especially after a performance like this. We can only do better than this."

Jeremy Maclin (WR)

On the season: "It was definitely what we wanted [a win], but unfortunately it didn't happen like that. Fortunately, we still have a chance to achieve what we started the season to do."

On the game: "There were some real missed opportunities. It wasn't a lack of effort. It wasn't anything that they did. We simply did not make the plays that we needed to make. … Credit to them. They came out with a good game plan and executed on both sides of the ball, offensively and defensively. They got us today. They were better than us today. But we get another shot next week."

Jason Avant (WR)

On the performance: "You want to play hard for one another. This is our job. You don't want to go out and do your job as poorly as we did today. … You get a little humble pie this week. Come out and focus. We just have to take it on the road, and it probably works out better for us. We are a team that is used to playing football in the postseason and we just expect to come out and play better next week."

On what it means for next week: "This is a wake-up call. You don't want to go into the playoffs playing the way we did today. To get humbled and to come back to the drawing board and be thankful we have another chance to play? I think we're going to be much more fired up next week."

On the secondary: "They played great. Newman, Jenkins and Scandrick, they played great games today. The safeties played well too. Our hats are off to them. We have to come out next week and play better. Those guys are pros and they had our number today. We have to play better next week. … we'll have to go watch the film. When we watch the film, we'll see what happened and we'll correct it."
