Game Vs. Bears: QB Michael Vick

On whether he felt he played better in the second half with the different positions that Coach Andy Reid put him in: "I think I could have played a lot better in this game. Obviously, I need to go back and watch the film but deep down I know there are things I could have done better. Against a team like that, you have to be precise. You have to be on point. You can't miss opportunities that you have to be taking advantage of. Yeah, Coach played us in some good positions but we didn't make the plays."

On how the second half appeared to be played less geared toward down field: "We were just taking what they gave us and not playing cautious football or trying to be meticulous with everything we did. We were still attacking it and being aggressive. I wanted to make sure that we took advantage of everything that they did. On every progression, we had opportunities to make plays and we just didn't make them."

On whether he feels that the Eagles have dug themselves a hole that they cannot get out of: "Obviously, tonight was a big game for us. We wanted to take advantage of the opportunity that we had to get back to 500 but you can't let opportunities like this slip away. I feel like we had a chance to win this game and we let it slip away but we have to put it behind us and just not let it happen again. Whatever happened tonight that can be corrected has to be corrected."

On what the Bears do differently to contain him: "I don't know what it is. They play a great scheme. They did some things differently that we didn't expect. I think for the most part, we were able to handle it. They played good sound defense and they were able to keep me contained. The linebackers were running pretty good and made the plays that they needed to make and we didn't make enough."

On whether he was surprised by the speed of the linebackers: "[LB] Brian [Urlacher] is getting better and better and getting faster as he gets older and aging. These guys are aging well and hopefully I do the same and continue to press forward throughout the season. I just try to be accountable for my football team."

On what the Bears did that the Eagles didn't expect: "They played some different overages other than what we thought. We thought they were going to come out and play us a little differently.  It didn't affect us at all. We were still able to make the plays that we were able to make and stay in the ball game and compete.  And I think we did that. I think we did it at a high level. It was just some plays that we missed out on that I know I could have made and we didn't make.  I wish I could do it all over again, but I can't.  The only thing I can do is look forward to the future."

On how much tougher of a road the Eagles have with the way the NFC East is shaking out: "It's tough right now and obviously we've dug this hole ourselves and we have to dig ourselves out of it.  The only thing we can do is take it one game at a time and try to learn from our mistakes.  I know with myself, take a more aggressive approach and maybe study a bit more, do some things differently, try to find a way to go out and be the football player I know I can be.  And I'm very disappointed in the last drive.  We didn't score and usually in those situations I'm able to overcome and I couldn't do that for my football team today and I think, it hurts, but it's back to the drawing board and you have to figure it out."

On whether he feels they played mostly cover two: "It was a good mix.  A good mix. Cover two, single safety."

On whether he's been hit as hard and as legally as tonight: "The first half was tough, but that's football.  Sometimes you're going to be on your back.  I think it shows the guys that you have will.  When you keep getting up and keep getting up and that you have heart to keep going on.  The minute you start showing signs of weakness, everybody follows so as a quarterback I have to be the leader.  I have to continue to keep pushing, to keep pressing.  I just have to look to make the next play better than the last play and try to install that in all my teammates and for the most part, those guys have done a great job for the last three weeks.  I'm pretty sure they feel the same way I'm feeling and we just want to, like I said, re-evaluate ourselves and look at the film and see what we can do better."

On the Eagles' playoff race compared to a chess game: "Oh man. Got to keep pushing the pawns.  Keep pushing the pawns, man. Push the pawns and use all the weapons that you have to stay aggressive and stay on the attack.  It's never out of reach when you have your queen on the board.  And that's Andy Reid."

On the throws on the last drive: "[WR Jeremy Maclin] came open and I got the opportunity to hit him. I just didn't make the throw that I was able to make and normally would make. I couldn't put the ball in the position that I wanted to put it in. Like I said, some throws you can't have back. Some throws you want to have back but you don't have a second chance to do it over again. So, in the moment, you have to make the plays."
