Eagles waive DL Gabe Hall, make practice squad moves

The Eagles waived defensive lineman Gabe Hall from the 53-man roster. The move comes after the Eagles traded 2026 fifth- and sixth-round picks to the Jaguars for running back/kick returner Tank Bigsby.

Philadelphia also released running back Montrell Johnson from the practice squad and signed center/guard Jake Majors to the practice squad.

The Eagles signed Hall as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor in 2024 and he spent the entire season on the practice squad. Hall made the active roster this year and played five defensive snaps against the Cowboys.

Majors went undrafted from Texas and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being waived with an injury designation late in August.

Johnson spent the offseason with the Eagles before being waived on roster cutdown day. He re-signed with the Eagles' practice squad on Monday. — Written by Matt Ryan
