The Eagles announced Tuesday that they have waived wide receiver DeAndre Carter and promoted running back Josh Adams from the practice squad to the active roster.
Carter signed with the Eagles as a free agent in Training Camp on July 28. He played in the Eagles’ first two regular-season games and had one catch for 10 yards against Atlanta in Week 1.
Adams was originally signed by the Eagles as a rookie free agent following the 2018 NFL Draft. He led the Eagles in rushing during the preseason with 90 yards on 23 carries. The Eagles now have four running backs and five wide receivers on the active roster.
