Eagles Locker Room

QB Michael Vick

On his thoughts about his numbers being down from last year: "I don't play this game based on numbers. I play this game based on wins and losses and the first half of the season didn't go as planned. But we still have a lot of ballgames left and that's what we're looking forward to."

On his thoughts about the potential for the team to look ahead to Sunday night versus the Giants: "That's the exciting part about all of this. I think it's exciting that we still have an opportunity (and) we still have a chance to play against some good teams. And we can only control what we can control and we can't dictate how things are going to be and what happens with other teams. We just have to play our game and let that be it."

On whether he feels that the team is running out of chances the further along the season progresses: "You know, we're just going to keep playing, just keep playing as hard as we can. A lot of things can happen and we all know that. So that's me being optimistic and believing in us and that's it."

On whether he feels like he forced some throws in the game against the Bears: "No I don't. I think there's times where you have to take chances and that's just playing the position. But I don't feel like I force too many balls. I feel like as of right now there are things that I could have done better, but I feel like I've put us in positions to excel as well."

On whether he sees any difference in the mood of the locker room: "I don't see any shift at all. [All of the] guys still remain confident. You know, we still feel like we can beat any team in this league and that's the mindset and that's the way it's going to be. It's not going to change."

On his thoughts about how the team can rebound from the 3-5 start: "You know, anytime you lose a game it's because you make more mistakes than the opposition. And I think if we limit that and are able to control that, then we give ourselves a chance of winning the game and staying in the ballgame throughout the entire game. So like I said, we're just ready to get the second half of the season going. This game this week is very important. And we're going to handle that and look forward to next week."

On whether he's talked to Arizona QB Kevin Kolb this week: "Yeah, I talked to him last night."

On whether he thinks Kolb wants to be out there playing against his former team this weekend: "It's tough for Kev. You know, he loves to compete. He's a great player and he wants to be out there with his team, for his team. And you know, a lot of crazy things happen in this game and injuries you can't control. So we wish him the best and hopefully he'll get well soon."

On whether he thinks the team plays the best with their backs up against the wall: "Yeah, I think so. And it's going to be that way throughout the rest of the year. You know, our backs are going to be against the wall and it's going to be an uphill battle. And we just have to get on the same wavelength with one another and once we do that in a football game, the sky's the limit."

DE Brandon Graham

On whether he feels like his fitness is getting better: "I see myself in practice running around just being able to do more than I did the first week because I was almost to the point where I was throwing up. You know, but now I feel good. I'm comfortable with however many reps coach wants me to do, I can do it and just keep getting better each week."

On whether he feels more comfortable after playing in a game: "Yeah, you know I still thought about it. But when somebody finally hit it in game speed, how was it going to be? And you know, two plays in I get chopped by the running back and I'm like, 'Okay, I'm ready. I don't have to think about it anymore.' But you know, I'm just going to keep building and that's what I'm going to do. I can't wait for Arizona because I know what to expect out there now and all of the little nervousness about my knee is gone. And you know, it's time to keep getting better each week."

On how it felt coming out of a four-point stance for the first time: "It felt good. You know, it held up good, it wasn't sore, it wasn't swollen, none of that stuff. So that's always a plus."

On whether he's feeling more confident in a four-point stance: "This week, I just told coach I'm feeling more comfortable in my stance now because, you know, that was a new stance for me. I was trying it out during the offseason but not as much – I mean, you know in camp here and there, but I really couldn't do much like all I can do now. But yeah, I'm feeling more comfortable this week."

CB Nnamdi Asomugha

On how he can shut down Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald: "With heart; we just have to play in his face and get it done."

On his thoughts about why the defense had so much trouble getting off of the field on third down: "Nothing, we just have to play better. In some games they convert 50 percent, in some games they convert 10 [percent]. The goal is for them to always be below or be around 25 [percent], you know something like that, then you know that you're playing pretty well on third down. You're not going to stop them all the time [because] they're also scouting you on defense. But you just have to play better, especially in the third and long situations. At that point when it's third and long there's different things that you can do whether it's a blitz or a zone or something like that you just have to play it better, and we didn't last week. They converted 50 percent."

On whether there is potential for the team to overlook the Cardinals with the Giants coming into town: "What's the Cardinals record? No, we're 3-5. So I don't think you can overlook anybody at this point. We're taking them just as serious as we would any other team that we're playing against. You know, we have to start winning each game at this point. And there's no one that we're taking lightly. You know, we've seen them play against the Vikings [and] they didn't have a very good game, and then you see them against some of the best teams in the league and they're playing them pretty well. So we're not taking them lightly."

WR Jeremy Maclin

On his thoughts about the last play of the game and whether he is happy: "No, I'm not happy. I expect more out of myself, but at the same time it should never come down to that, and that's just through the course of the game, man – you know everybody looks at that one play or looks at something but to be honest with you every play is just as important as that last play because if you make a play before that then you're not even in that situation. So people have to realize that it's not just one play, it's not just one player, it's not the quarterback, it's not the running back, it's not the d-line, it's just a group effort, man. Every play is just as key as the other one."

On whether the last play was designed to be three yards short of the first down marker: "We knew that it was fourth-and-10, obviously they were going to play us off. And it was something that maybe we can get the ball underneath and get the first down or take a shot. It's one of those two things."

On whether it's frustrating the way that the team is losing close games: "Yeah, that is frustrating. It's frustrating because we're not playing our A-game and yet we're still in all of these games, and that's what's frustrating. And that also says what we're capable of doing. If games were played on paper we wouldn't lose to anybody, but games aren't played on paper. We have to go out there and understand that just because we're the Eagles or just because we have this guy, this guy, this guy teams aren't going to lay down for us. So we have to stay with that mentality all four quarters of the game."
