Eagles, Coca-Cola Announce Partnership

The Philadelphia Eagles and Coca-Cola Refreshments announced a wide-ranging, long-term partnership that will make Coca-Cola brands the sparkling beverages of choice for Philadelphia Eagles fans. The agreement brings brands including Coca-Cola, diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Dasani bottled water and others, to Lincoln Financial Field. These great brands will be available to Eagles fans at the beginning of the Eagles 2012 season.

Eagles executives believe this new relationship will help further the team's efforts beyond the field as well. Both organizations share a commitment to environmentally responsible business practices and community involvement. Coca-Cola specifically will be collaborating with the Eagles' Go Green Program and Eagles Youth Partnership.

"This is an exciting partnership for the Philadelphia Eagles on a variety of levels," said Eagles President Don Smolenski. "We'll be providing a great product for our fans and we have found a partner whose core values align with ours."

The Eagles' Go Green program is a national leader in alternative energy and recycling, and Lincoln Financial Field uses some of the best environmental practices in the sports industry.  Similarly, Coca-Cola is committed to making a positive impact when it comes to sustainability. For example, Dasani PlantBottle™ packaging will be available at Lincoln Financial Field this season. Dasani PlantBottle™ is made from up to 30 percent plant-based materials, the PET plastic bottles, which use fewer non-renewable resources, are still 100 percent recyclable.

Coca-Cola's iconic "Live Positively" program, which promotes sustainability, community involvement and healthy, active lifestyle choices, will be a key-component in the partnership. Together Coca-Cola and the Eagles will host Live Positively "Get the Ball Rolling" clinics throughout the year to educate local Philadelphia area youth about the importance of being active and the importance of nutrition.

"By joining forces with a legendary organization like the Philadelphia Eagles, Coca-Cola will refresh Eagles fans as they create lasting memories and cheer on their hometown team," said Jim Brennan, Coca-Cola Senior Vice-President, Northeast Region. "Philadelphia Eagles fans can now enjoy an ice-cold Coke while watching the Eagles pursue their dream of a championship season."

"We've already heard great feedback from our own employees," said Ari Roitman, the Eagles Senior Vice President, Business. "When we installed the Coca-Cola dispensers and coolers at the NovaCare Complex, there was already a line of people ready to pour the first Coke.  We served Coca-Cola beverages for our fans at Veterans Stadium for 31 years – we are thrilled to welcome them back to the family and to Lincoln Financial Field."
