The Eagles announced on Thursday that defensive end Derek Barnett was placed on the Injured Reserve list after undergoing season-ending surgery on his shoulder earlier this week. The Eagles promoted cornerback Chandon Sullivan from the practice squad to Barnett's spot on the active roster.
A 5-11, 194-pound Georgia State alum, Sullivan was signed by the Eagles in the spring as an undrafted free agent. In three preseason games, Sullivan had eight tackles, a pass deflection, and an interception. The active roster remains at 53 players while the practice squad now has eight players.
