Ron Jaworski

After coming to the Eagles in a 1977 trade with the LA Rams, Jaworski enjoyed a stellar 10-year career in Philadelphia. He set seven passing records, including career marks for completions (2,088), TDs (175), and yards (26,963). After leading the Eagles to the NFC title in 1980 and a berth in Super Bowl XV vs. the Raiders, the Youngstown State product earned a Pro Bowl selection and was named the NFL Player of the Year by UPI and the Maxwell Football Club. The durable Jaworski started 116 consecutive regular season games. Jaworski was born March 23, 1951 in Lackawanna, NY.

YEAR-BY-YEAR

1977: After spending his first three seasons with the Rams, Jaworski started 14 games for the Eagles and threw for 2,183 yards and 18 touchdowns.

1978: Jaworski led the Eagles to a 9-7 record as he had 2,487 passing yards and 16 passing touchdowns.

1979: Jaworski threw for 2,669 yards and 18 touchdowns, leading the Eagles to an 11-5 record.

1980: Making his lone Pro Bowl, Jaworski posted a career-high 3,529 passing yards and 27 touchdowns. He helped lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance.

1981: Jaworski had 3,095 passing yards and 23 touchdowns as the Eagles finished 10-6.

1982: In nine games, Jaworski had 2,076 passing yards and 12 touchdowns.

1983: Jaworski started all 16 games and threw for 3,315 yards and 20 touchdowns.

1984: In 13 starts, Jaworski had 2,754 passing yards and 16 touchdowns.

1985: Jaworski completed a 99-yard pass this season and threw for 3,450 yards and 17 touchdowns.

1986: In his final season with the Eagles, Jaworski had 1,405 passing yards and eight touchdowns in nine starts.
