One of the most graceful receivers ever to play the game, Quick became a fixture in the Pro Bowl, earning five consecutive trips to Hawaii from 1983-87. A former first round draft choice of the Eagles from North Carolina State in 1982, he etched his name into the team's record books, ranking among the club's all-time career and single-season receiving leaders in terms of catches (363), yards (6464), and TDs (61). He was born on May 14, 1959 in Hamlet, NC.
YEAR-BY-YEAR
1982: After being drafted in the first round, Quick played in nine games and had 10 grabs for 156 yards and a touchdown.
1983: In Year 2, Quick exploded as one of the best receivers in the league. His career-high 1,409 yards led the NFL, and he also set a career-best with 13 touchdowns. Quick earned Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors as he finished sixth in AP Offensive Player of the Year voting.
1984: Quick had 61 catches for 1,052 yards and nine touchdowns, making the Pro Bowl again.
1985: In a first-team All-Pro season, Quick set a career-high of 73 catches, adding 1,247 yards and 11 touchdowns. Quick also caught a 99-yard touchdown from Ron Jaworski.
1986: Quick registered 939 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, starting all 16 games.
1987: Quick made his fifth Pro Bowl in a row, finishing with 790 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games.
1988: In eight games, Quick had 508 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and in his only postseason game had five catches for 82 yards.
1989: Playing in six games, Quick had 13 grabs for 228 yards and two scores.
1990: In his final season, Quick played four games and had 135 receiving yards and one touchdown.
