Hugh Douglas

Eagles Career: 1998-2002, 2004 | Eagles Hall of Fame Induction: 2022

A first-round draft pick (16th overall) of the New York Jets in 1995, Douglas was acquired by Philadelphia in a trade during the 1998 offseason. As a member of the Eagles, he earned three consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl (2000-02) and a first-team All-Pro nod (2000). Douglas totaled three seasons with double-digit sacks, including a career-best 15 quarterback takedowns in 2000. After playing elsewhere in 2003, he returned to Philadelphia for his final NFL season in 2004, where he helped lead the team to Super Bowl XXXIX.

YEAR-BY-YEAR

1998: In Douglas' first season with the Eagles after spending his first three with the Jets, he had 12.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

1999: He was limited to just four games and had two sacks.

2000: Douglas made his first Pro Bowl, finishing with a career-high 15 sacks, leading the league with 21 tackles for loss and notching his only career interception. He was also named first-team All-Pro and finished third in AP Comeback Player of the Year voting.

2001: With 9.5 sacks, Douglas had another Pro Bowl year. He added two forced fumbles and 47 tackles.

2002: Douglas made his final Pro Bowl with 12.5 sacks and 53 tackles. He led the NFL with 20 tackles for loss.

2004: After spending a year on the Jaguars, Douglas returned to Philly and had three sacks in his final NFL season.
