Clyde Simmons earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 1991 and 1992. He recorded 720 tackles, 76.0 sacks, 12 FFs, 10 FRs and 3 defensive TDs in 124 career games with the Eagles and ranks third on Philadelphia's all-time sacks list, trailing only Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Reggie White (124.0, 1985-92) and Trent Cole (85.5, 2005-14). Over a five-year span from 1988-92, Simmons ranked 2nd in the NFL with 63.0 sacks including a league-leading 19.0 in 1992.

YEAR-BY-YEAR

1986: Drafted in the ninth round, Simmons played in 16 games as a rookie and had two sacks.

1987: In 12 starts, Simmons had six sacks and 75 tackles while forcing one fumble.

1988: Simmons had eight sacks in 16 starts, along with 89 tackles.

1989: Simmons had one of his best seasons with 15.5 sacks and a career-high 135 tackles. He also had a 60-yard pick six and three forced fumbles.

1990: Simmons posted 109 tackles and 7.5 sacks, including forcing a fumble and returning one for a touchdown.

1991: In his first Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro season, Simmons had 13 sacks, two forced fumbles, 115 tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. He finished eighth in AP Defensive Player of the Year voting.

1992: Simmons' 19 sacks led the NFL as he earned first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. He finished third in AP Defensive Player of the Year voting.

1993: In his final season with the Eagles, Simmons had five sacks and an interception.
