WR Curtis Out For Redskins Game

LANDOVER, Md. - Wide receiver Kevin Curtis did not play (calf), but guard Todd Herremans was able to overcome an ankle injury to suit up when the Eagles took the field against Washington on Sunday.

In Curtis' place, Reggie Brown saw his first action in three weeks. Also inactive for the Eagles were third quarterback A.J. Feeley, running back Lorenzo Booker, linebacker Joe Mays, defensive end Bryan Smith, tackle Chris Patrick, guard Shawn Andrews and wide receiver Hank Baskett.

The big news from the Washington sideline is that right tackle Jon Jansen (knee) did not play, leaving the Redskins without both of their opening-day tackles. Left tackle Chris Samuels (triceps) was placed on injured reserve. Stephon Heyer has been playing in Samuels' place, and Jason Fabini started in Jansen's place.

Also inactive for Washington were third quarterback Colt Brennan, wide receiver Malcolm Kelly, guard Will Montgomery, defensive tackles Kedric Golston and Ryan Boschetti, offensive lineman D'Anthony Batiste and defensive end Rob Jackson.
