Westbrook, Harris Won't Play

Brian Westbrook will not play against the New York Giants after suffering a concussion last Monday night against the Washington Redskins when he was kneed in the helmet by linebacker London Fletcher. Westbrook is one of eight players, and two starters, listed as inactive for the Eagles.

Rookie LeSean McCoy will take Westbrook's place as the starting running back and main ball-carrier.

Rookie safety Macho Harris, who has started every game this season, will also miss the game with an ankle sprain. Sean Jones will take his place at safety.

The other inactives for the Eagles are defensive end Victor Abiamiri (knee sprain), cornerback Dimitri Patterson (quad), wide receiver Kevin Curtis (knee), offensive lineman Mike McGlynn, offensive lineman Max Jean-Gilles and quarterback Kevin Kolb (third quarterback).

UPDATE: The Giants have announced their inactives, and they will be without starting wide receiver Mario Manningham. Domenik Hixon will start in Manningham's place.

The other seven inactives for the Giants are: Wide receiver Ramses Barden, cornerback Aaron Ross, running back Gartrell Johnson, linebacker Michael Boley, offensive lineman Adam Koets, offensive llineman Guy Whimper and defensive lineman Chris Canty.
