Vick To Practice Wednesday

Head coach Andy Reid said that quarterback Michael Vick took part in the morning walkthrough and is set to practice Wednesday afternoon as the Eagles prepare for the 49ers.

Vick suffered a contusion on his non-throwing (right) hand last Sunday against the Giants. Reid said that the swelling is down and will observe Vick in practice. The key is whether Vick can properly secure the football. Reid said that they will not start Vick on Sunday if it's not safe to put him out there.

Reid did not divulge who would start if Vick can't play, but said that quarterback Vince Young is 100 percent recovered from his hamstring injury and "ready to go."

Wide receiver Riley Cooper (concussion) and defensive end Darryl Tapp (pec strain) will also practice. Cooper has passed all of the neurological tests and has been cleared to return by an independent doctor. Tapp is only expected to be a limited participant in practice.

Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (hamstring strain) took part in the walkthrough and is "day-to-day" but it remains to be seen whether he will practice Wednesday.

Cornerback Brandon Hughes (hamstring strain) will not practice and will "struggle" to play this week. Defensive end Juqua Parker (ankle) will also not practice Wednesday.
