Vick To Play With Starters, Says Reid

Head coach Andy Reid confirmed in his morning press conference that Michael Vick will play on Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The starters are penciled in to play the first three quarters, and Reid said that Vick will get his game action during that period. He made it clear that Vick may see some action at the same time as Donovan McNabb or with the first unit. Kevin Kolb will play the fourth quarter.

Coach Reid also updated the injury status of a number of players. Sheldon Brown (rib strain), Omar Gaither (knee sprain), Leonard Weaver (sprained MCL), Shawn Andrews (back), Todd Herremans (stress reaction in foot), Darren Howard (groin), Charleston Hughes (foot contusion), Tracy White (rib strain), and newly acquired Tony Curtis (high ankle sprain) all will not play against the Jaguars.

Brian Westbrook will play in the game, although he won't play all three quarters, said coach Reid.

Finally, Curtis Gatewood, the recently signed linebacker, will see action during the game.
