Vick, Maclin Miss Thursday's Practice

The Eagles continued to prepare for Sunday's primetime showdown without two of their offensive playmakers on Thursday as quarterback Michael Vick (ribs) and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (shoulder, hamstring) did not participate in practice.

Vick declined to talk with reporters, but said that he will talk following Friday's practice. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg was "optimistic" that Vick could still play. Mornhinweg added that Vick would not have to practice to play Sunday. Mornhinweg also said that second-year wide receiver Riley Cooper was taking the reps in place of Maclin.

Offensive tackle King Dunlap (concussion) and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle) also did not participate in practice.

Good news for free safety Nate Allen (concussion) and guard Evan Mathis (toe). Both players were full participants for the second straight day. Defensive end Brandon Graham (knee) was added to the injury report, but was a full participant.

For the Giants, starting left tackle Will Beatty was added to the injury report as a non-participant on Thursday due to a back injury. Reports indicate the Giants expect him to be able to practice Friday. Middle linebacker Michael Boley (hamstring) and running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) did not participate for the second straight day.

Defensive end Osi Umenyiora was limited in practice with his knee injury, but is expected to play. Cornerback Prince Amukamara, the team's first-round draft pick, could make his NFL debut Sunday as he was a full participant for the first time all season due to his foot injury. Fellow cornerback Aaron Ross (quad) and wide receiver Mario Manningham (knee) were also full participants along with wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan (hip).
