Vick Excited To Be Back To Football

Ten days away from what will be his first regular season game in over two years, Michael Vick talked about how grateful he feels to finally be in a position to play the game he loves.

"I'm just excited to be in the position that I'm in," Vick said. "Hopefully I can make some plays whenever I'm called upon and we'll let that be that."

Vick has been going through some extreme conditioning drills since he arrived in Philadelphia as he works to get back into football shape.

"I think being that I was out for two years, it was going to be hard to get back," Vick said. "Where I feel right now physically, I think my body has done a good job of responding to the conditioning that the beating that I've put on it the last three or four weeks. So it's exciting."

Vick has been splitting the quarterback reps on the scout team this week with Jeff Garcia. It's expected that he will be used in special packages, namely the wildcat, when he's reinstated next week against the Kansas City Chiefs.

"I'm just happy that I'm a football player, so it's a great feeling for me," Vick said.
