Updates On Andrews, Herremans

Starting left guard Todd Herremans will have surgery on his left foot on Friday and is likely to miss the regular season opener in Carolina.

Herremans has been sidelined with a stress reaction in his left foot.

"I think the doctors will tell you that somewhere between seven and 12-14 days is when the swelling settles down and you can see lines which indicate fractures," head coach Andy Reid said. "That's exactly what happened. They waited 14 days, took another MRI of it, and that's what they saw."

Nick Cole has worked in place of Herremans and will likely get the starting nod against the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Reid said he expects to have starting right tackle Shawn Andrews back on the practice field Saturday when the team gets back to work at the NovaCare Complex.

"Shawn will probably be out there Saturday doing something in practice," Reid said.
