Update: Teams Can Talk To Rookies Now

The NFL announced the official timeline for the start of free agency, training camp and the preseason. Below is the link to the entire calendar, but here let's highlight a few key dates.

Monday night - Just received a tweet from NFL PR guru Greg Aiello that stated teams can talk to their draft picks and rookie free agents on Monday night, but no deals can be signed until Tuesday morning.

Tuesday, 10 AM - The NovaCare Complex opens for physicals and voluntary strength and conditioning.

Tuesday, 10 AM - Trading begins for the 2011 season.

Tuesday, 10 AM - The Eagles can SIGN their own drafted rookies as well as undrafted rookies.

Tuesday, 10 AM - The Eagles can negotiate with but NOT sign their own free agents or other teams' free agents.

Wednesday - Eagles report to training camp at Lehigh University. Practice dates and times for when camp is open to the public have yet to be announced.

Thursday, 4:01 PM - Waivers begin for the 2011 season.

Friday, 6 PM - The Eagles can SIGN their own free agents and other teams' free agents.
